We use quartz elements here. The moment you flip the switch, the filament glows and you feel the heat. No waiting around for a radiator to slowly warm up. Plus, since it’s radiant heat, you don’t have to worry about drafts. You know how a gust of cold air from an open door usually kills the warmth in a room? Not here. The heat goes straight to the user, regardless of where the wind is blowing.
A Few Things to Watch Out For
Installation is pretty straightforward—usually just ceiling or wall mounts—but you have to get the height right. If you hang them too low, it feels like standing too close to a campfire. Too high, and you lose that “instant hug” feeling of the warmth. It’s all about finding that sweet spot. One more thing: these units pull a lot of power. Make sure your wiring and breakers can handle the load, or you’ll be spending your afternoon resetting tripped switches. And since the outer casing gets hot to the touch, just make sure they’re tucked away or guarded. You want people to feel warm, not get a burn.
