Let’s be honest: putting a high-heat IR lamp next to flammable cleaning solvents is a recipe for disaster. If you’re using a standard lamp in a volatile environment, you’re basically inviting a fire into your cleanroom. It’s a huge risk. That’s why we build our Reflector and lamp assemblies to keep the heat where it belongs—away from the air around it. Keeping the vapors out The goal here is simple: don’t let chemical fumes touch the hot quartz tube. We handle this by wrapping the lamp in a sealed sleeve made of tempered glass or quartz. We then lock the ends down with reinforced flanges and gaskets that can handle the heat. It creates a solid wall. If a leak happens in your cleaning chamber, the vapors just can’t get inside the housing. You can breathe a bit easier knowing the lamp isn’t acting as an ignition switch. Managing the heat We use high-purity aluminum or gold-coated reflectors to beam that infrared energy straight onto the wafer. No wasted heat. No spraying energy everywhere. Because the reflection is so efficient, the outside of the housing stays cooler. But here’s the thing: you still need to keep an eye on your airflow. If your exhaust system isn’t pulling the ambient heat away, that housing can still get hot enough to wear down your seals over time. Just something to double-check. Spark-proof wiring We don’t take chances with electricity. We use flame-retardant cables and connectors built specifically to prevent explosions. No sparks at the termination points. Plus, we move the power supply far away from the heating zone. By decoupling them, we take the potential ignition source out of the danger zone entirely. A quick heads-up on fit These are designed to be drop-in replacements for your current curing arrays, which makes the swap easy. But, because we’ve added all this protective shielding, the unit is a bit bulkier than a standard lamp. Before you order, just grab a tape measure and check your chassis clearances. You’ll want to make sure you have enough room to slide them in without a fight.
