The Trade-off (Because Nothing is Perfect)
We usually go with short-wave IR emitters when you need a lot of heat, fast. It kills your cycle times. But there’s a catch. These high-intensity lamps get incredibly hot at the mounting points. If you don’t get your cooling manifold and chassis materials right, you’ll deal with thermal drift in your sensors. And once your sensors start drifting, all that digital precision we talked about? Gone. It’s worth spending the extra time on the cooling setup now so you aren’t chasing ghosts in your data later.

From a layout perspective, IR is just easier. You don’t have to deal with massive ducts or oversized blowers taking up your floor space. Plus, we wire these for quick deployment.
